Develop next generation technology, innovating the health care industry.

As a senior software engineer on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Integration team, you will work on critical technology to pave the way for 3M | M*Modal’s future products. We are looking for engineers who want to work in a fast paced, versatile, and rapidly changing environment.

Engineers in this group should be comfortable working in a small, collaborative team, and enjoy the autonomy of making decisions to push products further.  As a senior software engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Work closely with other M*Modal product teams to meet the various needs of those groups.


• Contribute to, and take ownership of, several internal and external facing initiatives.


• Collaborate with other team members on all phases of the software development cycle.


• Develop on the entire stack, from project bootstrapping to deployment.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a software engineer in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement


• Five (5) years of software development experience.


• Experience with C#


• Experience with JavaScript and/or Typescript development knowledge


• Experience working on an agile team


• Experience working closely with internal and external customers

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Healthcare technology experience is a plus


• Experience with AWS technologies


• Understanding of containerization software, such as Docker

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
