What you will do

As the Internal OEM Air System Components (ASC) Channel Account Manager, you will be the primary customer point of contact responsible for overall Account Management and sales growth through our Internal ASC Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s).  You will drive incremental YOY revenue and profit growth for the Controls business by selling the complete JCI Controls product portfolio, and executing strategic commercial objectives across JCI’s Air System Components Equipment Manufacturers.   


How you will do it


  • Using Johnson Controls account management principles with assigned accounts, conduct quarterly business reviews, ensure that the customer fully understands and executes appropriate actions towards the co-developed sales plans to achieve the sales goals and objectives identified.

  • Within your assigned accounts, pursue, qualify and win attractive new business opportunities that enable consistent YOY growth in revenue and GM dollars.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the customer while working alongside Business Leadership, Product Management, Engineering, Planning/Purchasing and Manufacturing personnel to develop both deep and wide relationships across their organization.  

  • Support enterprise-wide strategies to deploy new value-added solutions that optimize the JCI building automation systems and equipment solutions with factory installed controls. 

  • Manage ongoing sales process and respond to, and anticipate, customer needs.  

  • Participate in product development life cycle, while influencing product decisions towards JCI offerings, and maximizing our value proposition.  

  • Act as a funnel for information between OEM accounts and JCI Product Management to help influence future offerings and technology trends.

  • Strategic Price and Margin Management.

  • Continuous training and education efforts.

What we look for

Required


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business or related field of study.

  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in the HVAC Controls industry.  

  • Ability to build rapport with a broad range of technical and non-technical key influencers and decision makers. 

  • Demonstrated exceptional technical and verbal skills.  

  • Ability to comprehend and communicate (present) complex technical solutions.

  • Eagerness to continue to learn and grow.
