Compensation Data Analyst

Job Description Summary

The Compensation Data Analyst is involved in driving HR data integrity in support of the compensation function within the company. The Analyst is involved in the aggreagation of data, maintaining HR data quality, and analysis of large data sets. The Analyst will work closely with our HR Business Partner community to drive solutions in refining and maintaining quality HR data, which will support the compensation year-end salary and bonus planning process, the job architecture process, wage analysis, and other strategic compensation initiatives.

Job Description

Responsibilities:


  • Compile, structure, and analyze HR data integral to efficient and effective key strategic compensation projects

  • Develop and execute processes to audit and cleanse data in partnership with our HR Business Partners (HRBPs) on a routine basis to ensure ongoing maintenance of clean data

  • Present data which clearly articulates findings, assumptions, and recommendations

  • Execute Ad-hoc reporting and report creation in Workday (HCM System) in support of compensation related activities

  • Play integral role in the year-end compensation planning process, including systems testing, configuration and set-up

  • In preparation for year-end planning, act as liaison with HRBPs to prepare their populations for the process, assigning security roles, running data audits, managing user acceptance testing (UAT), etc.

  • Provide subject matter expertise relative to compensation systems processes, data automation, and reporting to non-technical HR partners

  • Assist in planning for projects, including project decks, training and project communications

  • Adapt roles and responsibilities to the changing needs of a large and fast-paced corporate environment

  • Performs other related duties as required or requested

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Human Resources, Business or related field

  • 1-3 year's work experience in and HR or Data Analytics role; in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, 5-7 year's experience

  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to exercise independent judgement, strategic thinking and take initiative

  • Ability to adapt to and re-prioritize work load in a fast-paced corporate environment
