The VIP Production Supervisor is responsible for leading, planning, and executing the work of all assembly and warehouse functions. This position trains employees in company policies and procedures, safety guidelines, and general operations. Completes required transactions in the ERP system, processes production orders, stages materials, and keep staff operational and productive. Ensures production demands are consistently met. Manages safety initiatives, departmental development, and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with quality management principles and overall objectives of the organization. The role will promote a collaborative environment to ensure effective communication and interaction across departments to achieve business results.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversees hourly team members and temporary employees to ensure daily production demands are consistently met and removes capacity constraints throughout the production.
Manages employee performance to establish expectations, monitor, and measure contributions and provide employee feedback, coaching, and training employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Trains employees in company policies and procedures, safety guidelines, and general warehouse operations using standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guidelines.
Coordinates a seamless hand-off of work-in-process to the next shift. Works collaboratively to achieve maximum throughput and quality.
Maintains staff capacity by recruiting, selecting, orientating, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems.
Performs work that is compliant with cGMP, ISO, QMS, OSHA and other pertinent regulations and directives.
Maintains quality standards by ensuring that all team members follow all work instructions.
Provides information to the Manager by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests.
Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices and record-keeping. systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook, AWAIR and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including MS Word and Excel.
Ability to certify with Pelican's forklift driver program and be trained as a first aid responder.
Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely, creative manner.
Ability to generate and adhere to a production, receiving and shipping schedules.
Must have the ability to complete assignments within the time frame specified by the Manager.
Must be driven to maintain and improve upon quality and production standards.
Possess an awareness and understanding of performance against budget.
Customer focus and awareness of customer needs.
Must maintain a "Hands-on" style, willing and capable of taking a lead role in technical problem-solving efforts.
Excellent teamwork and teambuilding skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees, vendors, and customers at all levels.
Must have a high degree of accuracy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree
Familiarity with SAP
Working knowledge of cGMP and ISO guidelines
Understanding and implement 6S and lean manufacturing techniques

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to executive non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
