This position is responsible for all outreach billing processes to include the computer build of contracts and to insure that the contract invoices are accurate and payments are received in a timely manner.

You will be responsible for training appropriate lab personnel in the registration process.

You willfollow all governmental compliance regulations.

You will be responsible for obtaining all necessary billing information (e.g. ICD-9 codes, insurance, MSP form, ABN) from patients and physician office staff.

You will cross-trained in a variety of functions: Monitoring and reconciliation of failed bill report, collection activity of contracts, adjustments to accounts, and training of lab personnel and daily contact with outside customers.

You will be responsible for continuous quality improvement review.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED requried.

Previous experience and/or training in billing/collections and customer service is preferred.

Written and verbal communication, basic understanding of ICD-9 and CPT coding preferred.

Computer and calculator experience. Use of copier and multi-line telephone and fax. Excellent telephone communication skills are required.

Must be detail oriented and have the ability to deal with constant change; must have the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and stress.
