A Project Specialist Consumer Electronics (PM) is responsible for managing all GKAM sales activities. The PM is responsible for tracking every sales activity from opportunity to final acceptance of delivered good. Consumer Electronics clients are very time sensitive and it is critical to track and guide entire process from delivery of the quote prepared by GKAM to track of every order, internal ZEISS ordering, factory escalations, preparation of shipment, working with Contract Manufactures to provide support in removing any obstacles from customs process to final installations and acceptance. The PS will also provide weekly and monthly tracking of all activities and prepare reports to the Customers. Finally, the PS will work closely with the GKAMs for various Consumer Electronics accounts.
We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:
Coordinate and support the logistics of all sales within consumer electronics
Understand and manage the scope of the work
Develop a work breakdown structure for key deliverables within the scope of work
Track and lead all sales deliverables until final delivery and sign off
Track all payments until final invoice is paid for each delivered system or solution
Create and maintain an issues list and manage the closure of issues in a timely manner
Enter and maintain budgeted costs and actual costs
Work with Procurement on purchasing activities
Manage sub-contractors to deliverables and timelines accordingly
Schedule and attend meetings with the customer to review progress as needed to assure customer satisfaction
Coordinate resources, both internal and external, to meet milestones
Maintain project - tracking reports
Participate in creating proposals and approval meetings as needed
Execute the project/system delivery closure process
You are:
Degree in an engineering discipline is preferred, equivalent project management work related experience may be considered
Minimum 5 years of Project experience in a related industry
Experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent Project Management software
Able to read and understand engineering drawings
Experience with automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, and medical manufacturing environments, corporate standards, and automation systems used in these target industries
Excellent verbal communication skills and be comfortable to communicate with overseas vendors
Flexible with the working time as communication with Asian CMs might require early morning or late evening calls.
