Responsibilities:


  1. Responsible for operating stucco drying equipment.

  2. Responsible for operating calcining equipment.

  3. Responsible for identifying upset conditions and responding as to minimize safety hazards, stucco quality deviations, equipment damage and delay.

  4. Responsible for operating the front-end loaders and excavator.

  5. Responsible for performing some routine maintenance on equipment. 

  6. Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives, as required by supervision.


  1. Able to work in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety rules and practices. 

  2. Ability to recognize unsafe conditions, acts and hazards within work area. 

  3. Demonstrates the ability to collaborate with co-workers in areas of safety, quality, production/maintenance, and understands importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements.

  4. Maintain a high standard for housekeeping within the work area.

  5. Some experience with HMIs (Ignition) is preferred.

  6. A general understanding of continuous manufacturing processes, with the ability to visualize the process and its interactions, is desired.

  7. Proven ability to read, understand and draw conclusions from process trending/data is desired. 

  8. Ability to make process adjustments to compensate for raw material variations. 

  9. Read and complete documented inspection procedures.

  10. Follow instructions on operator basic care work orders to complete assigned tasks.

  11. Computer skills to review or revise documents in Microsoft Office Programs is desired.

  12. Ability to navigate Microsoft Outlook for work related email.

  13. Familiar with common hand tools and how to properly use them.
