Arthrex, a growing medical device manufacturer, is looking for a goal-oriented and self-driven Senior level Project Manager in the Shared Services department within the Information Technology division having responsibility for planning and leading technical IT projects. The Senior Project Manager will be part of the IT PMO (Project Management Office) and follow and endorse the project management process (including tools, training, procedures, and standards) defined within the PMO and work for and with the PMO Manager on continuous improvement/maturity efforts. The Senior Project Manager would be a PM for strategic projects primarily in the Infrastructure and Information Security areas within IT, as well as provide assistance/involvement with projects in the Applications areas.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Work independently, as well as leading a project team, under limited supervision of direct manager with latitude for independent judgement in running assigned projects. Expected to be proactive in managing projects and in communications/interactions with key stakeholders as well as be goal-oriented, establishing and attaining project goals.
Manage enterprise wide and sometimes global programs and projects within the scope of IT Applications, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure, Information Security, and/or Shared Services areas
Facilitate medium and large scale projects and programs with full project life cycle management
Plan and lead IT projects including performing/managing all project management activities – initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close – utilizing Workfront templates/processes and other tools for work management while following the PMO methodology, standards, processes, and procedures
Participate in strategic planning and roadmap sessions with business and IT management to determine the scope and objectives of projects within a portfolio. Author business case and project charter. Goal of PM involvement is to improve service delivery to our partners.
Communicate program/project status to key stakeholders and senior management including RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies) and impact/constraints on scope, cost and schedule with the expectation to establish a clear communication plan. Responsible for stakeholder management.
Responsible for financial aspects of assigned projects including KPI reporting relative to project progress
Apply Organizational Change Management practices to all phases of a project
Coordinate interactions between Business Analysts, Platform/Development teams, Infrastructure teams, and other key IT stakeholders to ensure ongoing visibility of issues and tradeoffs relating to resources and technology
Accountable and responsible for the success of projects within the scope of overall program assigned
Partner to ensure the Vision and Mission of the PMO is embraced and achieved throughout the organization
Assist PMO with revisions to policies, procedures and processes governing IT project management
Perform peer reviews of project documentation, as requested, to ensure compliance with standards
Apply knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), various system and project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Hybrid, etc.), Six Sigma (Lean) methodologies, and ITIL practices as needed
Mentor/coach/train junior project leaders, project coordinators, and business analysts within IT performing a PM role or associated PM tasks. Assist with managing their daily task, providing performance feedback, and developing talent. Drive project team efficiency through innovation, suggest continuous process improvement of project management practices, and assist management with executing on strategic initiatives

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/MIS/Business Administration or related field required
Masters Degree or MBA preferred
8 years of project management experience utilizing project management methodologies in successively more responsible leadership roles required
Prior experience running large projects and/or programs required
Prior experience leading global, enterprise-wide implementations involving implementation partners preferred

Strong negotiating, influencing, and conflict resolution skills
Leadership skills with ability to provide technical training to team members, influence development of business solutions, and lead multiple teams and projects
Ability to build, nurture, and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization from IT staff to senior/executive management
Experience with Microsoft Project and/or enterprise PPM tool preferred
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PCs and have a command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word plus any additional communications equipment as needed.
