About the Job

The Senior Associate, Medical Affairs provides operational and logistical support for Medical Affairs educational programs and facilitates opportunities for Medical Affairs and commercial client engagement. This position supports the Molecular Tumor Board (MTB) Program which supports health care providers' knowledge and understanding of how cancer genomics, molecular diagnostic testing, and precision medicine converge to benefit cancer patient care. The role works directly with institutions as well as a variety of internal cross-functional partners to execute molecular tumor board meetings effectively. The incumbent may work frequently with health care providers, compliance and legal functions, commercial team members, and external consultants and vendors.

Key Responsibilities



  • Manage Multiple Institutional Molecular Tumor Board (MTB) Programs

    • Support requests from external clients for MTBs including the coordination of dates, times, and basic case details to be presented.
    • Lead all technical aspects of web-based MTB meetings, including calendar and Webex/Zoom meeting management.
    • Maintain communication and coordination across the many MTB stakeholders to ensure the success of their participation and input.
    • Collect, collate and disseminate information from internal and external sources as needed before, during, and after MTB meetings.
    • Coordinate interactions with FMI internal MTB team members and consultants for clinical coverage and full genomic information during each MTB.
    • Collect and collate materials, often under short deadline, to develop slide deck presentations.
    • Ensure proper execution in a timely manner of follow-up as needed on executed MTB meetings.
    • Maintain MTB metric trackers and recorded archives.
    • Process consultant invoices and assist in the budget management process.
    • Participate in the development and integration of automated MTB web-based application with strategic partners.
    • Support the initiation of new Institutional MTBs.

  • Manage key strategic projects for MTB Program

    • Manage input from cross functional stakeholders.
    • Develop process guidelines as needed.
    • Develop communication strategy for relevant stakeholders.

  • Additional Responsibilities

    • Be a resource to fellow team members.
    • Contribute to broader projects within Medical Affairs as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in a health or science related field
  • 3+ years of administrative or operational experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, clinical research organization (CRO), or hospital

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a scientific discipline
  • Prior professional experience in a customer service environment
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively within a department and cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated history of direct interaction with a variety of healthcare clients, including previous interaction with medical practices in both the community and academic setting
  • Familiarity with cancer biology and/or genomics terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced health care environment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities, including with time management and prioritizing
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Exceptionally strong administrative and organizational skillset; ability to anticipate and act upon team needs
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong sense of professionalism
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic
  • High level of detail orientation with a focus on quality
  • Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy
