As the Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll be responsible for designing analytics-based tools which are technically sophisticated yet easy to understand and use by business teams, in support of strategic initiatives and ongoing business processes for XPO Logistics. You'll develop solutions that leverage and expand upon the company Business Intelligence (BI) platform, with deliverables ranging from description and diagnostic reporting to predictive and prescriptive decision automation. What you'll do on a typical day:


  • Enter Identify, lead, and deliver efforts to build reports, visualizations, and dashboards using BI tools and practices, with solution designs that leverage statistical approaches, machine learning, and related disciplines using industry standard tools, libraries, and approaches

  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization to align priorities, communicate solution design tradeoffs and recommendations, and build and execute development plans

  • Design user interfaces, tool screens, and end user workflows to maximize understandability of information, ease of use, and alignment with XPO aesthetic and usability standards

  • Continuously improve technical design patterns, workflows, and tools-defining and enforcing standards when necessary to sustain the platform's effectiveness and sustainability; and, experimenting with and promoting adoption of new tools and approaches when appropriate

  • Proactively generalize and share technical approaches and best practices among other developers; simplify and communicate success stories to broader audiences across the company

  • Support end users to ensure they have reliable access to and understanding of data they need to trust to do their jobs effectively.


What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience

  • 1 or more years' experience in business intelligence and data analytics

  • Experienced in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), BI Tools (Looker, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.), programming languages (e.g. Python,R, Java, Scala, etc.).


It'd be great if you also have:

  • Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and Google Big Query

  • MBA or master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
