Software Developer I
DuPont Community Credit Union (DCCU) is currently seeking qualified candidates for a highly motivated, career-oriented individual for a Software Developer I position with the Software Development team. Founded in 1959, DCCU is a financial leader in the Shenandoah Valley; currently servicing over 111,000 members, with over $1.5 Billion in assets. The Credit Union’s Development team is responsible for creating new systems and programs and represents the highest level of IT support for existing systems to support DCCU’s mission.
The Software Developer I is responsible for creating, supporting, and maintaining the Credit Union’s in-house software applications. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: design, coding, testing of technical solutions, system maintenance & administration, monitoring, automation of tasks, interface development/maintenance, and contributing to team growth.
Required skill sets include:
Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio and/or Visual Studio Code
Experience coding in C#, Angular, JavaScript
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, jQuery, and other JS libraries
Enthusiasm for working with a team to design and execute a solution
Working knowledge of at least one Content Management System
Familiarity with Windows 10, Windows Server, and Linux
Ability to design and implement unit testing on new and existing systems
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Strong troubleshooting and bug fixing ability
Desired skills include:
Experience with mobile development and the MVC methodology
Experience designing databases in Microsoft SQL Server and creating stored procedures
Familiarity with creating solutions on Microsoft SharePoint
Familiarity with source/version control in TFS and Git
The ideal candidate will have a 4 year degree or equivalent related systems experience, as well as a strong desire to solve complex problems and work in a collaborative environment as an effective member of a team. This individual will possess exceptional oral and written interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work with confidential files and materials and demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and make sounds decisions.
