KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and preserve a safe work environment for our employees


• Provide input and insight to potential safety issues; identify and eliminate hazards.


• Build, lead, and motivate team to achieve objectives


• Responsible for leading a production shift, including manning, overtime, and performance to objectives (including consumables usage)


• Responsible to manage the Quality Inspection Records and compile the SLN package including NDT records


• Provide insight and information about production practices that preserve and improve product quality and process control


• Maintain balanced production rates that deliver best quality and optimal costs


• Manage Inspection KPIs and maintain Non-destructive Testing (NDT) practices defined in Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.


• Interface with customer and/or 3rd Party Inspection company


• Enforce and encourage compliance with company policies and culture


• Educate and empower personnel to make decisions that affect company success.
  
  
  
  • Types of required decisions to be made are: rate of operation and when to cease or resume operations, when and how to conduct repairs, corrections and or enhancements to equipment set ups, and assign, prioritize and provide a list of tasks to be performed throughout the shift or during down time.
  
  


• Monitoring Quality and Production within assigned area

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Demonstrated success at leading a team in a manufacturing environment


• Knowledge of pipe inspection process a plus


• Demonstrated problem solving skills, continuous improvement principles and methodologies and 5S


• Working knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel and other computer skills


• Contribute to a positive team spirit


• Complete job duties and assignments correctly and on time


• Must be willing to assist in all areas as necessary

  Preferred: Heavy industry and NDT inspection previous supervisory experience

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:  Minimum high school diploma or equivalency and previous heavy manufacturing supervisory experience

Preferred:  Minimum 2 year technical degree and/or 4 year Bachelor’s degree
