Nestled in southeast Missouri, Bloomfield is a small town with a rich history - and we've been proud to call Bloomfield home to one of our litter factories since 1995. This factory was the first to produce Lightweight® litter, which has revolutionized the category within the pet care industry - a product that weighs half the amount of conventional litter. Unique to this factory is an overhead bridge that allows full pallets of finished products to be conveyed to the distribution warehouse just north of the factory. This innovation, in conjunction with various others, played a meaningful role in Nestlé Purina earning the Malcolm Baldrige Award in manufacturing. In 2020, our Bloomfield factory is undergoing a 110,000-square-foot expansion in processing and packaging. This is a $115 million investment, allowing Nestlé Purina to meet the growing demand from cat owners. POSITION SUMMARY: Handling and shipment of all finished products that are loaded onto trucks in a safe and efficient manner. By using WMS, the Shipper will be loading trucks for shipment using a forklift. Shippers will also ensure proper accountability of all finished goods to the shipping warehouse as well as ensuring product is of high quality before loading onto trucks. This position requires the ability to successfully perform all functions of the task training guidelines. This position will be responsible for reviewing and actively participating in the risk assessments as well as successfully achieving position qualifications through evaluations. This position requires all tasks be performed with a safe mindset. Current shift availability is 2nd and 3rd shift, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. Must be open to either shift, as we cannot guarantee shift assignment. Must be available and able to work required overtime and weekend work in addition to normally scheduled shift work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Confirm outgoing orders to ensure accuracy across all shipments.


• Prepare products for shipment including case-picking and label placement.


• Load truck shipments utilizing forklift and comparable tools.


• Navigate and follow close instructions through WMS (Warehouse Management System).


• Operate all shipping equipment safely and efficiently.


• Perform all required equipment preventative maintenance.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain housekeeping standards in area of work and throughout facility.


• Complete related paperwork as required.


• Recognize quality concerns and respond accordingly.


• Participate in shift handover meetings and other continuous improvement activities.


• Attend all required meetings and trainings as directed.

BASIC QUIALIFICATIONS (Minimum):

Education: GED or High School Diploma

Experience (Years/Type): 1 year of experience operating a forklift.
