SUMMARY: The Ignition Exciter Technician will perform a detailed inspection of civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform functional test for all Ignition Exciter detail parts.


• Perform a visual inspection for all Ignition Exciter detail parts


• Interact closely with the Senior Technician to inform them of identified damage during the Detail Inspection process.


• Ensure equipment utilized meets calibration requirements.


• Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.


• Disassemble electrical aircraft engine accessories with the use of hand tools and soldering stations.


• Remove foam potting with precision detail to prevent damage from detail piece parts within the component.


• Perform functional test for all Ignition Exciters inducted.


• Remove identification and safety labels from components with use of a scraper/razor blade.


• Ensures up-to-date knowledge of all tools and proper use of equipment within assigned area of responsibility.


• Administer foam potting back into the components after they are assembled.


• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years of aviation accessary experience required.


• Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.


• Maintain an orderly and productive work environment.


• Ability to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.


• Basic computer operating skills (Word).

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Aviation Experience

(INCLUDE LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, SECURITY CLEARANCE, TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS, ETC.):
