The 1555 LOUNGE SUPERVISOR is responsible to oversee Lounge service staff and operations to ensure prompt, efficient, and professional service of food and beverages to Hotel guests by the Lounge.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES, include but not limited to:



  • To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • To extend a courteous, friendly, and professional greeting to guests as they arrive, and to thank them as they depart.

  • To continuously interact with guests to ensure professional, personalized service throughout their meal.

  • To assist in the hiring, training, scheduling, reviews, and the discipline of employees directly accountable to his/her position, to maintain highest possible levels of employee morale and department productivity.

  • To establish and maintain Lounge policies and procedures, including service style, to ensure professional standards of operation.

  • To satisfactorily complete daily paperwork, as required, including logs and reports.

  • To continuously communicate with the Chef to ensure efficient and professional service at the Lounge.

  • To implement Lounge menus, including updating drink lists.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: High school diploma or equivalent required. English fluency required. Must have minimum one year experience in Food & Beverage Department of hotel industry, including at least six months in supervisory position. Familiar with OSHA, SB198, California liquor laws, local Department of Health regulations, and relevant current laws governing handling of hazardous substances. Valid California driver's license required. Proof of personal automobile insurance coverage required.


SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Demonstrated ability to train staff and ensure luxury resort customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service. Good team player. Customer service focus. Ability to effectively manage staff to maintain a high level of morale and productivity.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stands/walks approximately 90% of shift. Sits at desk or in meetings approximately 10% of shift. Occasionally required to handle and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. over long distances. Must be able to work well under pressure. Must be flexible to work long, sometimes irregular hours, as needed. Frequent use of stairs, daily.
