NOTICE OF FILING

TITLE : Quality Manager

Duties : Oversee the control systems to ensure that information from the Laboratory is in accordance with business needs and the Company's Quality Management System. Work closely with Operations regarding the interpretation and implementation of any element of the Quality Management System to resolve differences and apply them uniformly. Monitor quality assurance activities in the Laboratory to determine conformance with authorized procedures and good practices, and make or arrange to have made corrections and improvements. Assist in or conduct investigations of discrepancies to resolve problems with clients and to inform Management of required corrective action. Remain aware of developments in the quality field by reading current technical literature and attending technical meetings. Advise on the purchase of laboratory supplies that have a direct effect on quality. Execute or participate in internal quality audits as directed by Management. Assist in the training efforts of the Company.

SALARY: $59.28 per hour

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION: Intertek USA, Inc.,2780 Hwy 69 N., Nederland, TX 77627

REQUIREMENTS

Main Experience: At least a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Chemistry or related scientific field and 5 years' of experience with gas chromatography.

Special Skills: Also requires at least two (2) years' of the following experience (which may have been obtained concurrently):


  • egulatory reporting experience including Tier 3 requirements; US EPA testing performance, documentation and reporting;
  • Audit Preparation experience for ISO17025 and ISO9001 including the Quality, technical, Scope Expansion, and Document Control requirements;
  • Managing ASTM Round Robin Quality performance and data entry;
  • oot Cause Analysis, Non-Conformance Reporting and Corrective Action Plans;
  • Using Baytek QC Plus software for Quality Performance Tracking;
  • Creating and implementing Local Work Instructions (LWI), and Test Method assessments (TMAs);
  • Familiar with ASTM, UOP, IP Methodology;
  • Equipment Tracking, Equipment Status, Validation and Calibration record-keeping experience;
  • Using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS);
  • Method development, implementation and maintenance experience on Gas chromatography instrumentation; and
  • Prepare Reagants, Solutions and Standards, per methodology for all local method capabilities.
