Huitt-Zollars's Rio Rancho, New Mexicooffice has a SeniorCivil Designeropportunity. HZ isa leading full service designfirm providing innovative planning, engineering, architectural design, construction and program management, and design-build project delivery to our clients in the public and private sector. Responsibilities:

Produce design plansfor public works and land development projects including roads,streets, storm drain, sewer, water and reclaimed water, trails, schools, utilities and civil facilities, storm water quality management plans, drainage reports, cost estimates, proposal, parcel map and exhibits.
• Assist project manager in plan production which includes preparation of plan and profiles of streets and other underground utilities common to land development.


• Assist project manager with design plans, specifications, construction support, and cost estimating.


• Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as directed by supervisor.


• Compose and prepare graphic materials for presentations and documents.
  

Requirements:

• Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D skills


• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook andExcel


• Knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques


• Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects


• Ability to read redlines and modify drawings accurately


• Good organizational skills and attention to detail


• Ability to work in a team environment


• Goodverbal and written communication skills
