Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities


  • Manages assigned product portfolio and is responsible for product prioritization and rationalization efforts that drive adoption in local markets.

  • Serves as key U.S. liaison to the sales team and customer base for product-related inquiries, recommendations, line extensions, improvements, and other related activities. Coordinates product information with the product development and technical marketing team in Germany; disseminates information internally and externally as applicable.

  • Develops and implements annual marketing strategy for assigned portfolio, including product launch plans, key messaging with target proof points, pricing strategy, collateral materials development, competitive assessments, and revenue forecasts.

  • Designs and executes marketing strategies to ensure profitable growth.

  • Works closely with sales organization, distribution channels, customers, and other buying influencers to develop comprehensive understanding of the industry, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

  • Assists in managing the entire product life cycle, including, but not limited to:


  1. Strategic planning and tactical activities before the product is released.

  2. Involvement in post-release challenges in the US market, including training requirements for field sales team throughout and finally into obsolescence.

  3. Technical input in the design phase as applicable.

  4. Product training needs for sales, customers, and internal departments.

  5. Support issues like technical support, product specific contact, and documentation.

  6. Tradeshow attendance.


  • In association with marketing and sales leadership, establishes KOL strategy that supports increased adoption of Erbe product line within assigned product portfolio.

  • Assists in the building of product evaluation protocol for new products and leads the on-site evaluation process. This includes management of the selection process, tactical protocol deliverables, and summarization of project results.

  • Leads cross-functional team meetings that develop and implement companywide go-to-market product strategies; develops and distributes tactical plans for all departments to execute with timelines.

  • Designs and produces marketing reports for department and company-wide use, including international subsidiaries and distributors.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position is an important member of the management team but has no direct supervisory responsibility. The incumbent utilizes independent judgment with limited supervision.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires more than 50% travel, including overnight stays and regular international travel.

Required Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technical marketing, or related field required.

  • 5-7 years’ professional experience working in a marketing role; medical device experience, particularly in a sales or marketing leadership role is a strong plus.

  • Must have demonstrated communications skills, both verbal and written, as well as excellent facilitation skills.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required; successful candidates must also be able to serve in a liaison role between cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.

  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information in a way that provides solutions to problems; critical thinking and sound judgment required.

  • Must be able to learn and present the technical attributes of the company’s products to the marketplace in a positive, clear, and distinctive manner.

  • Candidates must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines.

  • German and/or Spanish language skills a strong plus.

  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills required; strong preference for those with high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

  • Must be able to handle confidential information in an appropriate and professional manner.
