National Presto Industries located in Eau Claire, WI, is a nationally recognized manufacturer of small household appliances with over 115 years on sustained innovation. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our corporate team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing financial reports and analysis consistent with company policies, ensuring that various ledgers and records are properly maintained, and determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods for housewares products.

Duties Include:

• ·         Preparing monthly financial statements

• ·         Setting standard costs of housewares and small appliance products

• ·         Analyzing standard costs on bills of material for pricing of new products

• ·         Directing Accounting staff on maintaining costs in standard costing system

• ·         Endorsing checks received from customers and others

• ·         Working on special products, as directed by the Accounting Manager, Director of Financial Reporting, and others

• ·         Preparing reports for the Board of Directors meetings recapping the past year’s activities and expenses and projections for the upcoming year

Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field and at least 2 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment – those with a CPA certification will be given preference. Candidates will show strong attention to detail, ability to plan and manage multiple projects, proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, and technical skills in account reconciliation and cost analysis. Knowledge and experience with ERP software and AS/400 is a plus.
