    Employee-owned Kitchell is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Scheduler to join our Southern California region in the Downtown Los Angeles area and build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented building companies in the United States.



    Overview



    Responsible for working closely with technical experts, project leads, and project managers in planning, creating, and managing project program schedules. Assist Project Managers with schedule planning, coordinate tasks, and monitor the timelines of scheduled assignments.



    Responsibilities



    * Design, develop, and update project program schedule



    * Assist to set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled



    * Organize, implement, and maintain projects program schedule in scheduling management system (P6)



    * Interact with project team and task managers to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan



    * Update project timelines and maintain database of tasks and its status



    * Update all new information into database and provide scheduled reports for contract coordination and reporting purposes



    * Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress



    * Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas



    * Review and analyze construction schedule



    * Perform Time Impact analysis for change order work to determine how or if it affects the schedule and determining the proper critical path items



    * Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around



    * Schedules for recovery, re-sequencing, re-coding, Creating Baselines for submittal on projects



    * Verify that cost loaded activity dollar remaining does not push the days remaining past its anticipated finish date


  • Requirements

    * 15 - 20 years of experience of creating, updating, and maintaining program schedules for large public sector capital projects is required



    * Bachelor's degree in a STEM based discipline, Construction Management, or Accounting is strongly preferred



    * Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office Suite is required



    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required



    * Superior organizational and planning skills is required



    * Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff is required



    * Experience with projects using Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build project delivery methods is preferred



    Work Environment



    While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in an office and or construction environment. Conditions regularly include exposure to outdoor elements, hot/cold temperatures, wet atmospheric conditions, and cramped quarters with occasionally loud noise level in the work.
