HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR TEAM:
The Engineering Manager is responsible to manage multi-functional, cross-departmental work teams and personnel in relation to specific projects, programs, and products for Vacuum Feedthrough Solutions. The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing allocated resources devoted to key technology and product development, and responding to customer inquiries as necessary. The Engineering Manager will be the linkage between product development and manufacturing operations by working closely with each group to ensure our products can be manufactured consistently in appropriate cost and quality targets.
Reports to the General Manager, Vacuum Feedthrough Solutions
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Plans and develops existing and NPI to production efforts by managing engineering resources - assigning the correct resources to each task, assigning project discipline lead engineers and assuring they have the organizational support and structure required to successfully complete project tasks. Vacuum Solutions include and are not limited to: spindle design, bearing selections, next level assembly including a Vacuum Feedthrough, vacuum related components, electro-mechanical assemblies, chambers, sealing technologies, UHV, and providing solutions to our important Customers.
Schedules and prioritizes engineering workload and oversees project execution to ensure engineering teams execute programs in conformance with timelines, cost, technical and process commitments.
Conducts design reviews on complex products and including Operations (Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Quality representatives), and could include Quality Assurance.
Initiates and fosters collaborative partnerships with internal departments, customers, and suppliers; develops relationships that support increasing efficiency, effectiveness, growth, and ongoing supply.
Participates in the development of business and/or technology vision, strategies, critical success factors and operating plans for product lines
Directs appropriate support and or works with Sales, Operations, and Quality Assurance to document and define new products or make improvement to existing products while adhering to CE constraints.
Provides and directs technical assistance to manufacturing and assembly during build of prototypes or production runs
Discuss and consults with Engineering, Sales, or Customer on product requirements and specifications where design or manufacturing problems are involved. Provide Solutions!
Interfaces with other departments to provide effective engineering support for company's business goals.
