Job Description:

Position Summary: The Quality OQ Manager is a supervisory position directly responsible for overseeing and managing all Quality and Operator Qualification training programs.  The Quality OQ Manager will ensure a qualified workforce that supports all divisional, departmental, site and corporate goals while in accordance with all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. The Quality OQ Manager will maintain all OQ training records and assist areas with quality assurance in the field. This qualified individual will possess the skills to schedule and oversee multiple trainers in multiple geographic areas and should possess the ambition to develop solid Quality and OQ program to support a fast-growing Company.

 

Essential Functions:


  • Develop a strong training program to give gas employees a high success rate when qualifying for customers.


  • Develop a credible tracking program to keep all gas divisions in compliance with the Operator Qualifications for their immediate customers.

  • Develop a quality audit program of the field crews that will ensure the company and employee are installing the gas services correctly

  • Hire and support all divisions with quality and training employees as required.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the gas industry along with 5 years in OQ training department.

  • Proven success in OQ training

  • Willing to work over-time or long hours during emergency conditions and/or when requested. Schedules can change frequently and with short notice.

  • Up to 80% travel required

  • Accurately evaluate technical situations and recommend resolutions to problems.

  • Administer coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

  • Capable of following Company safety rules and policies.

  • Must have extensive knowledge of construction standard practices, techniques, quality requirements, applicable codes and standards.

  • Proficient knowledge in all aspects of gas distribution systems.

  • Knowledge of various types of construction contracts.

  • Perform employee evaluations.

  • Interview, hire, and terminate employees

  • Ability to interface with customers at a professional level

  • Check, verify and approve time sheet and routine reports.

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical equipment and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
