Job Description:

The Hilton Boston Logan Airport, our AAA Four Diamond hotel boasts 604 newly renovated guestrooms and 30,000 sq ft of meeting space. The hotel is close to downtown Boston, just 10 minutes from the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center and Seaport World Trade Center.

We are seeking a Director of Property Operations and Engineering, with the ideal candidate will having a combination of hotel engineering director level experience, union experience, excellent communication skills, and extensive knowledge of physical plant, preventive maintenance and safety and security.

What will I be doing?

As Director of Property Operations and Engineering, you would be responsible for overseeing the upkeep, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. In addition, you would direct and oversee the implementation of all safety and security programs for the purpose of providing protection and a sense of well being to all guests and Team Members.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Assign, verify and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system Direct, oversee and maintain required documentation for energy management and conservation and preventive maintenance programs
• Lead, manage and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations, including, but not limited to, scheduling, budgeting and complying with contractor bidding standard
• Direct daily department operations including, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, inventory management and cost controls, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, adherence to federal, state and local standards and meeting participation and facilitation
• Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including, but not limited to, physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems and grounds according to federal, state and local regulations
• Direct and administer all Safety and Security operations and functions to include, but not limited to, preserving the safety and security of the guests, team members and the facility, safe work practice promotion, OSHA compliance, safety incentive programs and classes and systems use and management
• Direct response to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property
