The Director of ESG Enablement - Growth Solutions is responsible for helping Workiva align our platform capabilities to the needs of our customers and partners to meet the evolving needs of the ESG and sustainability market. This role will collaborate cross-functionally in establishing and documenting ESG reporting best practices, standards and frameworks in our platform and enabling Workiva teams and partners. As part of the Growth Solutions team, the Director will work cross functionally to help design our ESG solution enablement strategy for partners and customers maximizing alignment of our solutioning to meet the needs of our direct and partner go-to market efforts.
Responsibilities
Serve as the Growth Solutions team expert in the evolving ESG standards and frameworks (ie GRI, SASB, TCFD, SDG, CDP) how they relate and map to each other and what this means for our customers, partners and solution offerings
Engage with partners and customers to understand the market needs to help companies manage risk and maximize opportunities related to ESG and sustainability reporting with the goal of designing approaches and optimizing them in Workiva's platform
Collaborate cross functionally to establish best practices for leveraging the Workiva platform for gathering, organizing and reporting on ESG data and Sustainability KPI's according to the evolving global regulatory standards and frameworks
Document and create training assets on best practices, accelerators and exemplary templates that can be used to assist partners, customers and Workiva internal teams in optimizing and establishing governance and controls over their ESG and Sustainability reporting and disclosure processes in Workiva's platform
Serve as the ESG/Sustainability subject matter expert to own and coordinate Workiva's ESG Partner strategy and initiatives as well as be the source of enablement for our partner program with the goal of helping us expand our ESG business and earn new partners and customers.
Provide strategy and leadership for Workiva's technology and consulting partners in envisioning and solutioning Partner ESG solutions in Workiva's platform in support of their ability to grow their business leveraging our technology
Act as an subject matter and technology expert for external marketing or partner initiatives as needed
Assist in documenting and establishing Internal controls frameworks for Sustainability or best practices in our platform that could be used by customers and partners
Provide ESG expertise, guidance, training and enablement where needed to Workiva internal stakeholders including sales, services, customer success around ESG reporting and internal controls
Act as a feedback loop for our partners and customers to our product management leads to help us refine our offering and maximize the impact of our ESG solution in the marketplace
Engage with customers and partners in sales opportunities to help demonstrate Workiva's expertise, technology and offerings in support of earning new customers and bookings
Responsible for documenting and updating as well as presenting ESG framework and enablement strategy to ESG Solution Lead and Cross Functional leadership to ensure goals and objectives are met
What You'll Need
Education
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
Skills

Ability to engage with external stakeholders and customers in support of sales and marketing initiatives

Ability to be proactive and self-directed
Experience
8+ years of related experience in ESG/EHS/Sustainability services or delivery with consulting firms (e.g. Big 4, Global SIs, boutiques and Regional SIs)
Experience and Expertise in major ESG standards and frameworks including for example GRI, SASB, TCFD, SDG, CDP. Knowledge of industry specific frameworks and standards is a plus
Experience with ESG/EHS market including technologies, consultants and systems used by companies to support their sustainability reporting efforts
Experience documenting, training and enabling customers and consultants
Experience interacting cross-functionally in a matrixed environment including but not limited to sales, services, product, and customer success
Experience working with sales and partners to engage customers, align our capabilities to their needs to grow the business
Preferred: CPA and ESG related certifications
Travel Requirement
Up to 30% travel primarily across North America and occasionally globally
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
How You'll Be Rewarded
Base Pay Range in Colorado: $190,000 - $237,000
A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
