Position Description:

We are currently seeking an Analytical TEM Application Scientist / Specialist for our Pleasanton, CA location.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical and application support to Gatan global sales team
• Perform hands-on demonstrations of Gatan products
• Acquire pre-sale data from customer samples using Gatan products
• Prepare and give technical presentations/seminars on Gatan products
• Provide after-installation application trainings to customers on Gatan products
• Engage in technical discussions with customers on their application needs and offer Gatan solutions
• Stay current on scientific and industry trends and innovations
• Understand market dynamics and contribute to company strategies
• Frequent domestic/international travels

Position Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master or Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, or materials science/engineering
• 3+ years hands-on experience in Gatan analytical products. Experience with other Gatan products a plus.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in modern TEMs. Experience in state-of-the-art TEM a plus
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized and good time management skill
• Work independently with minimum supervision
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
