Work Hours: Varies, depends on school schedule

- This position is for year round - up to 20 hours a week/or less

- Major/field of study should be in: Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Law.  Consideration will be given to other related majors. 

   Should have an interest in Criminal Justice and data collection

• Conducting literature reviews online


• Data collection from a variety of primary (new) and secondary (existing) sources


• Data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation


• Writing all aspects of a data report


• Participation in weekly virtual section meetings


• Occasional informal presentations


• Other duties as needed

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.

To be eligible for an internship opportunity at the Ohio Department of Public Safety, an applicant must:

• Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as verified via official or unofficial transcript or letter on letterhead from the Registrar's office confirming enrollment


• Be in good standing with the college/university


• Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0


• Be enrolled in at least one course


• Be pursuing a degree or finishing a degree
