The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an SA&E Associate, Local Medical Education, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Developing and implementing local and regional education programs to maximize reach and awareness in support of the overall strategic educational goals of the company.


• Developing and owning relationships with National and Area key opinion leaders and key decision makers and strategically leverage these relationships to advance messaging, impact and influence 


• Demonstrating solid understanding of peer-to-peer educational platforms, and general trends in medicine and peer-to-peer education and maintain current knowledge of clinical data, surgical and wound care techniques, and educational needs


• Driving continuous process improvement and ongoing enhancement of program formats, agendas, logistics, using meaningful measures of success to drive decisions.


• Understanding and applying the knowledge of business principals including, but not limited to: Finance, HealthCare Compliance, and Regulatory to the project plan. 

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• One (1) year of experience with in-house (non-agency) Medical Education or three (3) years in program/project management experience in a Medical Communications Agency, servicing pharmaceutical or medical device clients


• One (1) year of experience with project management, managing multiple projects at one time

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Three (3) years’ experience in Medical Education, with in-house (non-agency) experience or five (5) years in a Medical Communications Agency, servicing pharmaceutical or medical device clients, in a program management capacity 


• Advanced degree in business, science, or healthcare field 


• Medical Device and/or wound care experience


• Project management certification


• Experience working in a matrix organization

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic travel 

Relocation: May be Authorized

Location: San Antonio, TX and may consider remote U.S. work location

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
