Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

This position manages, designs and coordinates all building maintenance, construction, space management, and safety functions for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. As most sites are maintained through leases, this coordination typically involves serving as the main point-of-contact with the lessor, vendors, other State agencies, ODJFS employees and management, etc.

 

Some examples of common projects/tasks would be: coordinating large employee moves, monitoring and managing budgets, responding to employee inquiries and requests, maintaining accurate drawings of JFS sites, through an AutoCAD system, implementing office space needs (furniture reconfiguration, space planning and design), and overseeing the software and processes to accomplish and communicate all the foregoing tasks.

 

You will work with various electronic systems: OAKS (the State of Ohio’s administrative system), AutoCAD, spreadsheets, word-processing, databases, email, facility management software, etc.

 

You will travel outside of your headquarter office as needed, approximately 25 to 35 percent of the time, covering all fourteen ODJFS State sites ensuring the proper management of each building. Overnight travel could required, and individual projects may require flexible working hours.  ODJFS Fleet vehicles are available for travel use.


 

 

 

 

 

The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. For further consideration, applicants must clearly identify how qualifications are met within the education and/or experience sections of the applications. 


The ideal candidate, at minimum must have the following:



  • Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration;


  • AND 2 yrs. exp. in business management

OR
  • 4 yrs. exp. in business or public administration.
OR
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above




Salary: $13.00
