About the Job

Dudek is currently seeking a full-time Water/Wastewater Treatment Senior Project Manager. This position includes planning, design and construction engineering as part of a project team for water, wastewater, and recycled water projects, predominantly focused on treatment plants, pump stations, and associated mechanical facilities.The ideal candidate would be a professional engineer with 12 plus years of experience in treatment and civil engineering.This position will be based out of our Encinitas location.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading the planning and analysis of water, wastewater and/or recycled water treatment facilities, including facility plans, alternatives analysis, condition assessment, process evaluations, risk assessment, operations and maintenance assessments.

• Leading the design of water, wastewater and/or treatment facilities, open channel hydraulics, pump stations, treatment equipment (i.e. screens, clarifiers, blowers, dewatering equipment, filters, among others)

• Capability to work in the field, including construction observation, inspections, field measurements, and monitoring equipment setup, as necessary.

• Leading others in providing engineering services during construction, including reviewing contractor RFIs, submittals, change order requests, among others.

• Potential for limited travel within San Diego, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Ventura, Imperial, and Santa Barbara counties, as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.

• 12 plus years progressive engineering experience in planning and design of mechanical and treatment related projects.

• Professional Civil and/or Mechanical Engineer licensed in the State of California.

Preferred Qualifications

• Skilled in the use of Microsoft office (Word and Excel), have excellent writing, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Skills in the use of AutoCAD preferred, but not required.

• Service-oriented, motivated, self-starter seeking to complement a highly skilled, professional engineering team.


• Able to lead and work on challenging assignments in a team environment.
