GM&T also supplies gases for players in of the maritime sector and provides logistics for cryogenic transportation by sea of value added molecules, such as helium.</p>\n<p>GM&T employs 1,800 people world-wide and generated a 2017 revenue of 372 million.</p>\n<p></p></br><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong><p><span>This role will be responsible for understanding our inventory and stocking needs while working to reduce inventory levels and resolve storage constraints. This person will also be tasked with various procurement activities managing the requirements of both supplier and manufacturing. Additionally,they will be the key facilitator for helping to resolve Oracle inefficiencies across the site.</span></p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Lead key strategic inventory control projects</span></li>\n<li><span>Rationalize inventory levels at ALAS-Newport and ALAS-Woburn, with the overall goal of reducing Capital employed.</span></li>\n<li><span>Evaluate and define the optimal inventory levels and restocking frequency for key raw materials and subassemblies to meet manufacturing requirements while taking into account supplier constraints, minimizing supply chain risks and reducing footprint and capital employed.</span></li>\n<li><span>Lead process improvements related</span><span><span></span>to Oracle inefficiencies in the Manufacturing Operations by working with all stakeholders to streamline requests and resolution of the issues. Own the item master information and make improvements to stored information that will enable the system to be more useful to everyone.</span></li>\n<li><span>Lead efforts to resolve warehouse storage issues, by collaborating with the warehouse team to understand business needs, performing cost benefit analysis of both internal and external options and negotiating storage contracts with nearby facilities.</span></li>\n<li><span>Work with warehouse, planning, and operations to Implement location management for all direct and indirect purchase items across the entire plant.</span></li>\n<li><span>Support various procurement activities</span></li>\n<li><span>Issue requests for quotes and analyze responses from suppliers on assigned products and services.
