Job Description:

Mortgage Banking Retail Originations seeks to increase low-and-moderate income and

minority segment purchase penetration by our Mortgage Bankers. This position owns

the business development aspects of Affordable Lending relationships for the Retail

channel.

• Conducts ongoing business development activities focused on creating new Affordable Lending

partnerships, generating origination opportunities and managing lead conversion metrics for both

new and existing relationships.

• Represent Affordable Lending and promote Chase consumer originations channel in banking

centers, at Housing Fairs, Seminars and Community events as a means to establish consistent

referral sources and grow purchase business.

• Collaborates with and provides subject matter expertise to Region Manager and Senior Lending

Managers within Region to identify and engage the team in activities necessary to ensure

appropriate focus and Affordable Lending program success.

• Monitors and assesses performance and sales effectiveness at all levels in the Region, with

dedication to serving each relationship.

• Evaluates and communicates performance results of the Affordable Lending Program for the

Region with sales leaders and Affordable Lending channel management.

• Provides support for the Region sales organization with regard to Affordable Lending program

changes, updates, policies and procedures, ongoing program status, milestones tracking, and

overall success in meeting business objectives for the Region.

• Coordinate training and workshops ensuring Lending Managers and Mortgage Bankers receive

required knowledge development and skills training.

• Serves as the primary Affordable Lending point-of-contact for Senior Lending Managers, Lending

Managers and Mortgage Bankers in Retail Consumer and Branch Sales Center channels.

circumstances.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years business development or mortgage lending experience

• Minimum 3 years experience managing sales professionals and/or influencing performance in a

matrix environment

• Proven record of building relationships and establishing strategic partnerships (e.g. realtors,

builders, non-profit organizations)

• Strong knowledge of mortgage origination process

• Working knowledge of Affordable Lending products preferred, including down payment and

closing costs assistance programs

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
