Business Analytics Intern

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a current college student looking for a summer internship. The Business Analytics Summer Intern will be based out of our office located in Carrollton, TX.

The Business Analytics Intern will provide support to the South Central Region through monitoring our performance in comparison to prior year, current targets and stretch objectives. It's an exciting opportunity for a self-driven individual to learn from a strong leader. The below outline additional responsibilities:

• Creating detailed reports outlining the company's current performance, goals, resources, and performance gaps

• Planning and monitoring performance, or resources

• Forecasting

• Variance analysis

• Creating and modifying workflow charts

• Identifying project requirements and scope

• Improving current system practices

• Statistical and predictive analysis

• Analyzing market trends and uncovering opportunities for growth

• Additional tasks assigned as appropriate

Requirements

• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Visio

• Ability to handle confidential information

• Strong Excel is a MUST

• SQL knowledge is preferred, RDBMS knowledge preferred

• Project Management a plus

• Excellent organization skills and able to change directions quickly

• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management

• General "Business" acumen

• Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment

• Strongly prefer a candidate who has completed their sophomore year
