Broadwind Heavy Fabrications is hiring! We are looking for a Machinist for our 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday 3pm-1am). The main focus of the Machinist is operating a Boring bar machine to meet print/drawing specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (May include some or all of the following responsibilities)
· Set-up, adjust and operate machine to run recurring projects according to project prints. This also requires set up of part on machining work area.
· Ability to read and understand machining print symbols necessary.
· Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometer and calipers.
· Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
· Ability to safely operate overhead crane, scissor lift, and forklift equipment.
