Financial Planning & Analysis AVP

Responsibilities:

• Support development of Mizuho Americas annual business plans, including coordination across entities/business lines, build and enhance budget reporting packages and presentations


• Assist in preparing Americas monthly and quarterly management committee material, CEO/CFO package and CXO package to report performance to senior management, including budget vs actual analysis, client analytics, and business drivers. 


• Manage Americas daily PL reporting process, including daily expense estimate, data input to Hyperion, and report production


•  Govern financial data in Hyperion to ensure data consistency and integrity across various Mizuho Americas Hyperion instances


• Manage ad hoc requests from management, business owners, and local & home office finance counterparties


• Support and improve inter affiliate cost allocation management to ensure full reconciliation 

Qualifications:

• 3-5 + years of experience in financial services


• 2-3 + years of specific roles in business planning, budgeting and/or financial analysis required.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret a wide range of financial information


• Ability to deal with ambiguity, multitask, and manage ad hoc requests 


• Keen attention to detail and ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner


• Strong knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint; familiarity with Hyperion Planning/Essbase a plus.
