City Experiences is seeking a Seasonal Waterbus First Officer to work on our at City Cruises in Marina Del Rey.

About the Opportunity:

The First Officer position works closely with the Captain to ensure a safe and enjoyable cruise for all guests and crew. This is a guest facing position, so customer service must be a top priority.

About You:

We are looking for candidates who take pride in their appearance, have superb customer service, and communication skills. A flexible schedule is a must as it includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and comfort of passengers


• Assist guests in embarking and disembarking the vessel, including helping with mobility devices, bicycles, strollers, etc.


• Handles lines and supervises others during vessel (UN) docking maneuvers


• Tends gangway and supervises others in passenger handling procedures and requirements


• Oversee others and performs housekeeping chores and maintenance projects


• Engine room check and logging


• Ensure that the vessel is safe and secure at all times


• Other ongoing duties and projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• One year of boating experience preferred, but not required


• First Aid & CPR certified preferred


• Great customer service skills


• Flexible schedule
