Job Summary: SAVA is seeking a candidate to fill the role as a Data Specialist II to provide systems support to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) Tax Division Office of Automated Litigation Support (OALS) Unit in Washington, DC.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Performs file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads for the copy center.

  • Develops, evaluates, and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulation files for use copy centers applications.

  • Responsible for ensuring that incoming an outgoing electronic and physical material are made pursuant to applicable ESI specifications and Division guidance.

  • Performs advanced tasks related to exporting data from copy center databases.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Ability to Obtain Public Trust

  • Requires knowledge of litigation discovery process, and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow. 

  • Working knowledge of personal computers, including Windows, document review software, and encryption methods. 

  • Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platform. 

  • At least 2 years’ experience performing eDiscovery roles including but not limited to electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis. 

Desired Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of Government’s IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server-based applications preferred. 

  • Familiarity with ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote valued. 

  • Undergraduate degree preferred-preferably in computer science or related field.
