Job Description:

This position requires the ability to adjust your schedules according to business needs. Depending on the day, the employee may need to arrive earlier or later, depending on the project.

Schedule:

Mon-Fri 7am to 4pm

Summary:       

This person will be the Human Resources presence in a facility. Under the direction of the HR Manager or Generalist they will help with administrative tasks, as well as, one or any of the HR disciplines such as benefits, LOA, employee relations, engagement, and onboarding.

Responsibilities:


  1. Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.

  2. Work with local management and third party RPO for staffing the facility.

  3. Ensure new employees are onboarded correctly and all new hire paperwork is completed and processed.

  4. Prepare or update employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting and terminating.

  5. Explain OnTrac policies, procedures and standards to new and existing employees.

  6. Address any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations. The investigation will be overseen by the HR manager or Generalist.

  7. Conduct training sessions.

  8. Oversee engagement programs and other employee relations work.

  9. Potentially help with onsite hiring events or attending local job fairs.

  10. Make hiring decisions and approve some terminations

  11. Potentially provide HR support for more than one facility.

  12. Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

Organizational Relationship:

Works closely with Facility Management and local HR Manager as well as new and existing employees. 

Application:

Proficiency in Windows applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS and Payroll systems. 

Work Environment: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment but is expected to monitor employee engagement in the warehouse.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel is required. 

Minimum Requirements:


  • Must possess a two to three years in the HR field. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of both experience and education. Incumbent must be model positive behavioral competencies to serve as a role model.

  • Preferred college degree for future advancement opportunities.

  • Preferred HRCI/SHRM Certification.
