Responsibilities

Dematic has an immediate need for a Product Owner Agent (POA) role on the Global Product and Solutions team. The POA will work with other POA’s and the business to bridge the gap between the business functions of Application Engineering, Solution Development and Global Product Solutions. This individual will be required to work using Agile methodologies to understand and document requirements & collaborate amongst various groups to ensure a continuity of information among key organizational decision makers. To support the business requirement generation process, the POA will also compare and analyze requirements with major global data sets. If a change in process or procedure is proposed, this individual will collect, analyze, and present the impact to the larger organization using a combination of both data models and Agile methods. This position will also support Global Data Governance and Data Stewardship activities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Collaborating with prospective users and business representative to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements

  • Help identify, research and document requirements, prioritize development and integration efforts, test the solution, and support the training of the user community.

  • Act as the primary contact between the scrum teams, product development departments and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate closely with both the scrum and development teams to ensure the results meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and business.

  • Manage and triaging the product backlogs and prioritizing them based on changing requirements

  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development

  • Developing user stories

  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process

  • Liaising with the Agile team, Scrum Master, Developers, SME and end-users to deliver updates

  • Participating in Scrum ceremonies as needed


Qualifications

The POA must understand the processes by which various operations groups and global regions within Dematic operate. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting trends and results uncovered in data analysis in order to understand real-world operational and financial implications.

 

Skills and Qualifications


  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology

  • Experience authoring business requirement documents and business process flows

  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, CAD

  • Experience in multicultural settings

  • Experience with CET-Designer will be critical.

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Team player

  • Ability to prioritize effectively

  • Ability to work with large teams

  • Understanding of design quality standards

Education and training Requirements:

 

Typically, BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or other related fields or advanced degree. Certification may be required in some areas such as Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).

 

Duration/Location:

 

This is a fulltime position and they will work remotely until which time the Grand Rapids Michigan office reopens. This person may travel domestically and internationally in order to identify and create sustainable regional relationships with key business owners and users in order to support the engineering tools an related efforts.  The individual must have a cultural awareness as they will be expected to gain support of each region to support their need of datasets.  This individual should expect to travel between 5% of the time, though the exact amount will be on an as needed basis.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

 

Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organizations business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically 3-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

 

Direction of Others:

 

Provides specialized guidance or training support and/or professional staff. Leadership qualities and role model qualities demonstrated. Will take high level instructions from the Product-Owner.

 

Key Working Relationships:

 

Primarily intra-organizational contacts and external contacts.

 

Travel:

 

International business travel may be required, not expecting to average more than 5% annually.
