Kleinfelder's Hayward CA office is seeking an Entry Level Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Technician to join our team.

We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine testing of soils and construction materials in the laboratory in order to verify conformance to specifications, and meet the rigorous schedule demand of our clients to join our growing Bay Area Team!

Specific responsibilities include:

The Laboratory Technician will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor. This position may require travel from time to time.

Position Requirements:

• 0 to 3 years of construction materials and/or laboratory testing experience.


• Caltrans Certification in Aggregate, Asphalt, Concrete and Soils preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

Other desired certifications include:

• ACI Strength Testing Technician


• ACI Laboratory Testing Technician Level I, or


• Knowledge of relevant AASHTO and ASTM standards.

General knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
