OVERVIEW

CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking an Engineer II to join our Buildings - Sports Administration group in our Richmond, VA office.

CHA collaborates with institutions across the nation to develop forward-thinking master plans that embrace the latest design standards, newest technologies, and best project approaches. We have conducted comprehensive indoor and outdoor sports campus master plans for colleges and universities, and we have also completed numerous complex building master plans focused on renovating existing buildings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

With limited supervision, an Engineer II will assist in the design development, implementation. and technical analysis of technical various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The Engineer II will aid senior engineering staff members in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. This individual will work on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

    Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) required

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • A minimum of 2 years of related Engineering experience required

  • Experience with site plans, layouts, & drainage preferred

  • Outdoor sports facilities (fields, parks, trails, etc) experience preferred

  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline

  • Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field

  • Familiar with QA/QC procedures

  • Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D etc.)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required

  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist mid and senior level engineering and project management staff

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Participation in a professional engineering society/organization is preferred
