Job Description

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, the Warehouse Associate I receives, unpacks, checks, and stows warehouses materials. Picks, packs, crates, and ships product to fill orders.Conducts light assembly work, operates power equipment and performs a variety of tasks under direct supervision.

Perform quality checks as needed and properly record results if necessary. Alert Leadsperson of any quality problems, part shortages, machine breakdowns or any other situations.

Responsibilities


  • Off-loading trucks utilizing fork lift or pallet jack

  • Verify that the quality, type and amount of materials received are accurate

  • Breaking down freight - Hand off-loading of product to consolidated put-away location

  • Picking product orders - Hand loading product to pallets

  • Packaging outbound shipments - Wraps, straps or over pack boxing of product

  • Manifesting UPS shipments

  • Creates bills of lading for truck carriers

  • Produce and attach identifying tags to product or shipments

  • Fulfills all safety responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Production Supervisor/Lead

Qualifications

Experience and Skill Required


  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required

  • High School Degree or equivalent preferred

  • On a continuous basis: work in a standing position, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Familiarity with both LTL and UPS shipping

  • Good communication, data entry, basic math and organization skills

  • Experience working with standard hand and power tools

  • Ability to work in a team setting
