Your tasks




  • Summary:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout, machinery used for production run to their maximum efficiency and output to improve our business. This includes preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment (including software programming). Include people management and budgetary and cost reporting.


  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department

  • Coordinate maintenance work performed by outside vendors

  • Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of the company equipment and parts

  • Control and monitor inventory

  • Ensure all company vehicles are cleaned, fueled and are in proper working order.

  • Implement safety policies and procedures for the department.

  • Input and maintain departmental budget including AFE's and CAPEX projects. Monitor expenses and control budget.

  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.

  • Allocate workload and supervise staff

  • Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.

  • Liase and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers.

  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose a wide variety of machine malfunctions Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each team member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them.

  • Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact.

  • Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required


  • Knowledge and Skill Requirement:

  • This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

  • Manufacturing, Engineering or related experience

  • 5-7 years in manufacturing maintenance role

  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics.

  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Previous experience successfully managing a team

  • Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) a plus

  • Understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing

  • Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members

  • Interview potential employees

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.

  • Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Envionmental, and OSHAS 18801 certification requirements.


  • Environmental / Atmospheric Conditions:

  • Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to extreme temperatures in production areas.

  • Exposure to hazards such as electrical and moving mechanical parts.

  • Exposure to general production machine noise levels.

  • Exposure to fumes.


  • Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, sitting, reaching, grasping, feeling, walking and hearing.

  • Average work-exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and /or negligible amount of force constantly.

  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more with the ability to judge depth and space relationships and bring objects into sharp focus.

  • Required to lift 50 pounds and move odd shaped objects (desks, tables, etc.).

  • Required to work a 40-hour work week and be prompt and dependable with overtime as require
