Job Description:

Summary of Responsibility

In keeping with the Mission/Vision/Values of Centerstone, an Assistant Director provides development, organization, and management of an array of services in assigned service areas and the direct supervision of program staff. The Assistant Director supervises the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and crisis teams, coordinates treatment teams in providing crisis assessment, crisis intervention, crisis stabilization, Mobile Crisis Response, referral and/or linkage to child and adult clients and their families/collaterals presenting with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. This includes ensuring program leaders and other team members are providing direct client and/or community services as necessary to meet program service obligations and compliance with standards, regulations and laws, maintenance of appropriate documentation. Creates and manages budgets ensuring accountability to budget and targets among assigned leaders and staff. An Assistant Director is required to use independent judgment and decision making when performing job tasks/providing services. As part of Centerstone's team-oriented philosophy, an Assistant Director is expected to actively participate in variety of cross-functional teams and performance improvement initiatives.

MINIMUM CREDENTIALS/REQUIREMENTS

Position requires a Master's Degree in a Human Services field, 3 years relevant program/service experience, including mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, and 2 years supervisory or management experience. This position also requires a Clinical License (LCPC/LCSW) or the ability to obtain said license within 6 months of hire.

Assistant Director must have a valid driver's license in relevant programs. Assistant Director must successfully complete required background checks and pre-employment screening as required by agency policy and/or funding sources, including drug screening.

Management staff in positions that require use of automated/electronic systems, including automated documentation systems, are required to have computer and keyboarding experience and skills or the ability to develop such skills within required timeframes in order to meet the level of proficiency set by the agency. Position also requires the ability to spend significant time working on and utilizing necessary computer hardware and software including a working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and must have basic understanding of database applications. Management staff utilizing electronic/automated systems, including automated documentation systems, may be required to undergo a computer and keyboarding assessment test to determine proficiency.
