Capitol Federal® is looking for a Chief Technology Officer in Topeka, Kansas to support, motivate and lead our IT team and infrastructure.  We are looking for a candidate who has enthusiasm for managing our information technology network within multiple business functions through innovation and transformation.  Capitol Federal® is looking for a CTO that is knowledgeable with leading technology providers, as well as, emerging technologies that will support and expand our lines of business.  The CTO is responsible for aligning IT departmental strategy with overall business goals and objectives.

As the CTO, you’ll work closely with the IT Department leadership team, as well as with each business unit leader to ensure we are creating strategic solutions that benefit our customers and employees. The CTO will develop, plan, and implement information technology (IT) strategies that meets our company’s business needs, delivers a reliable yet agile system, an optimal return on investment and maintains utmost security.

• Establish short- and long-term strategies related to the Bank’s information management and processing systems, including computers and peripherals, hardware, software, networks and ATMs.


• Advise management on the best design and technology to advance the Bank’s future growth.


• Develop policies governing information security and business continuance.


• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the Bank’s technological needs are being met.
