SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, support the daily activities of the Facilities Department Support team members and oversees moderately complex maintenance projects on a wide variety of Facility equipment, buildings and systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develop, support, motivate and challenge the other members of the Facilities Support Team to perform to their full potential through direct and timely formal and informal information.

Ascertain materials required for assigned projects, and ensure timely requests for the purchase of those materials. Minimize over ordering, to ensure cost effectiveness.

Perform the daily coordinate of the Maximo Preventative Maintenance software so that the site wide Preventive Maintenance program is maintained up to date and to ensure that the records for such are properly documented.

Perform engineering calculations and reviews for proposed new equipment.

Use ACAD-type program to update mechanical prints and drawings when changes mandate.

Inspects construction work to ensure compliance with design documents.

Interprets construction work to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.

Prepares related reports (such as Monthly Progress Report).  Maintains required reports of daily construction activities.

Prepares job-related correspondence; conducts contract/customer meetings.

May perform or assist in the installation, relocation and reinstallation of new and/or existing equipment.
May assist in the repair and maintenance support activities of equipment that includes but is not limited to, air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems, HVAC, and DI water Systems.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one to three years of experience.

Engineering background is preferred with a Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and strong working knowledge of ACAD type software programs.

Must be able to measure, review and support Electrical Mechanical designs.

Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Be knowledgeable with tools and materials of the trade.

Act as a liaison for the Facilities Department with internal customers and external vendors.

Prepares job-related correspondence; conducts contract/customer meetings.

Inform senior engineer of specific problems and completion schedules and time-lines.

Recommends solutions to specific construction problems.

Submits applications and other data to regulatory agencies for review.

Reviews and approves (if necessary) monthly contractor cost estimate.  Reviews change orders.

Have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos concerning the Facilities and construction environment.

Demonstrate the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

Have the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $14.11 - $20.45 - $26.79. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, education (if requirement noted above), geographic location, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
