Title: PV&V Engineer- 72750

Your Responsibilities

As a PV&V Engineer for John Deere Ottumwa Works located in Ottumwa, IA, you will lead the planning, development, and execution of verification and validation activities for the Self-Propelled Windrower and its sub-systems. In addition, you will:


  • Verify and validate customer requirements through lab, field, and machine review activities
  • Serve as vehicle performance expert supporting key stakeholder needs
  • Support issue ranking and root cause investigations with the project team
  • Manage and prioritize test activities to meet project schedule including coordination with contract test technicians

What Skills You Need


  • 3 or more years of experience with agricultural equipment
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills
  • Experience conducting and analyzing field and lab tests
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Vision / EETS / V2NET and/or test report database
  • Understanding of the EPDP process

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Knowledge of function and application of self-propelled agricultural vehicles and associated mechanical and electrical sub-systems
  • Experience setting up, collecting, and interpreting data from data acquisition devices in field and lab testing environments
  • Ability to manage risks effectively in a team environment
  • Experience using vehicle serial communications including SAE-J1939 CAN-BUS, Canalyzer, ServiceAdvisor, MTGs and JDLink
  • Knowledge of electronic hardware such as displays, GPS receivers, sensors, controllers, and harnesses

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Electrical Engineering
