About the Role:

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is looking for a Records Management Manager / Operations who oversees district support for the unit's Records Management Program. You will identify and implement approved best practices and achieve results; take a managerial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the records and information management program and procedures for both electronic and paper records. The Manager, Operations will serve as the Regional Automated Distribution Process liaison for the Dallas District.

You Will:


  • Direct and monitor activities of all direct reports, which may include less experienced supervisory staff, through recruiting, training, coaching, prioritizing workloads, reviewing/signing-off on completed work, providing developmental opportunities for growth, evaluating performance and providing feedback; Supports the bank's strategic direction
  • Lead the implementation and compliance of Board-issued records management policies, procedures, guidance, and training with respect to confidential supervisory documents and data
  • Ensure relevant tools and innovative techniques are used during quality checks, projects, and initiatives
  • Participate in and support - System and Bank initiatives related to RM e.g., Records Community of Practices, the Office of the Secretary (OSEC), the Records Management Support Office and Board IT
  • Coordinate responses to requests for records such as eDiscovery, Freedom of Information Act, or other special records-related projects with Legal, Information Technology, and other Bank departments
  • Oversee the maintenance and tracking of the compliance process for departing department employees as well as those employees located in other areas of the Reserve Bank that create or receive Board delegated supervisory documents and data in the performance of department activities
  • Oversee department RM compliance by communicating how to apply the System Records Retention Schedule for Reserve Banks and other related Board procedures and guidance
  • Coordinate the audits of documents solicited for destruction
  • Oversee the Board's IT staging and production folder, performs research and analysis, and solves Central Data and Text Repository (CDTR) exception errors
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing to ensure that all technical aspects of the document management system are operating as intended

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in library and information science, information management, public administration, or related field. Certificate of Federal Records Management Training is a plus
  • 5+ years of records management, information management, or related experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively oversee multiple duties, assignments, and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to independently research questions regarding records management policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functional areas
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to influence outcomes
  • Ability to complete complex processes
  • Possess a working knowledge of a document management system, records management and retention standards, and digital imaging preferred
  • Certification in Records Management or related designations.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements
