The St Louis Fed is one of 12 Reserve Banks serving all or parts of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas. Overview

The Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Product Owner to join our team. As our Product Owner, you will work with the Application Delivery, Cloud Infrastructure and Emerging Technology teams while promoting technology outcomes to meet the needs and expectations of our partners. In your role, you will foster dialogue and communication between multiple partners and technical experts, encourage collaboration amongst Agile team members and lead Agile team planning. Additionally, as Product Owner, you will oversee requirements gathering and capture of user stories, maintain a prioritized backlog, and guide sprint and release planning.

Responsibilities


  • Work with Business and IT partners to develop inspiring product visions into product roadmaps that align with business and IT strategies.
  • Interpret requirements and work with technical teams, developers, business analysts, UX and internal constituents to determine the detail to gather requirements and write user stories.
  • Develop a technical understanding of the implementation to ensure representation of the business and IT teams represented. Be the voice of the business customer, identifying gaps and opportunities for new capabilities, manage backlog, and prioritize work within sprints.
  • Partner with Scrum master and technical teams to participate in agile ceremonies (retrospectives, sprint planning).
  • Make use of release reviews, user studies, customer feedback, operational metrics, and analysis to identify and understand needs for products; share with leadership.
  • Exhibits expertise within products' feature areas and coordinates with interdependent teams to provide product support.
  • Develop metrics into product measurement techniques; work with development teams to develop reports to monitor them.
  • Coordinate release activities and monitor product performance, adoption and operational health.
  • Manage product documentation.
  • Participate in testing.
  • Support overall activities and responsibilities of Product Management team.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in product management, project management or IT business analysis.
  • Must exhibit a collaborative style and can share technical ideas and approaches with others.
  • IT Cloud Infrastructure, software development process and technical software experience, helpful.
  • Familiarity with Kanban, Agile, or Scrum processes.
  • Experience using GitLab, helpful
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner certification, helpful.
  • Travel (5%)
