Status: Full Time

Hours: 36-40 hours per week/rotating 12 and 8 hour shifts


Job Summary:

The primary objective of this position is to assure the delivery of comprehensive, safe, effective, cost effective and appropriate nursing care for patients across the age continuum (2 months-geriatric) in accordance with established surgery center's policy, nursing practice standards and the Association of Operating Room Nurses. The Registered Nurse provides individualized nursing care to the surgical patient, demonstrating an extensive knowledge base to support a variety of single and multi-system illnesses and/or injuries. The Registered Nurse controls the environment within the surgical suite and accepts responsibility for developing and coordinating safe plan of care utilizing AORN Standards of Practice. The Registered Nurse works within the framework set forth by the policies, philosophy and objectives of Triangle Orthopedic Surgery Center, LLC while maintaining the standards of nursing practice. The Registered Nurse reports directly to the Director of Surgical Services/OR Coordinator.
