Install, maintain, repair, rebuild, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical/hydraulic equipment and provide technical assistance to other team members
Install, modify, move, troubleshoot, repair, and dismantle heavy machinery and equipment according to documentation, layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings
Troubleshoot and diagnose difficult, infrequent problems with equipment
Rebuild complex components such as gear drives, pumps, and hydraulic valves
Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements for reliability, capability, and yield
Read prints, diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to determine work procedures
Perform equipment failure analyses
Prepare technical reports to document modifications and maintenance procedures
Installs new equipment within precise limits or standards of accuracy
Capable of rigging heavy, large complex parts
Perform operational tests on newly installed, modified, repaired, and moved machinery and equipment to ensure that it meets technical specifications
Fit bearings and align gears, shafts, motors, couplings, and belts to precise tolerances
Fabricate metal parts for prototype equipment based on drawings
Follow all safety rules and practices
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
